Inclusive Practices

The Shasta County Office of Education Professional Learning and Leadership Support Services Department has been working with state and local agencies to transform the way students are served in our schools. This means we work directly with districts to change educational systems, primarily for Special Education programs and the IEP process, to improve outcomes for all learners. Research consistently shows that the more acceptance, opportunities, and supports we provide in general education classrooms, the better all of our students perform.

We offer:

• Trainings for your staff on Least Restrictive Environment and Indicator 5

• Data trainings to ensure IEP accuracy

• Guidance on creating appropriate opportunities for students with disabilities in the general education setting
