ELA/Literacy

The Educational Support Services team supports schools and districts in instruction and leadership in english language arts (ELA) and literacy. We provide professional learning, customized support, and instructional coaching for Shasta County districts and schools. Our services include, but are not limited to:

Professional learning based on the science of reading
- Universal Screeners
- Diagnostic Assessment
- Structured Literacy
On-site instructional coaching for ELA and literacy
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies in literacy
Social, Emotional, and Academic Learning (SEAL) within literacy texts
Support for Literacy/Instructional Coaches and Administrators
ERWC - The Calif. State Univ. Expository Reading & Writing Curriculum for certification of 9th-12th teachers (middle school modules will be ready for the 2023-24 school year)
