CALPADS
What is CALPADS?
The California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) is used to maintain individual-level data, including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting.
Why it Matters?
As required by the California Department of Education (CDE), school districts must certify CALPADS data three times annually. This process can be time-consuming and challenging to navigate, especially with the ever-changing data environment. Certified data directly impacts funding, accountability, compliance, and decision-making for school districts.
With this in mind, the CALPADS Data Team supports districts in many ways:
-
Facilitating local and regional data meetings
-
Providing onsite training and support
-
Maintaining a CALPADS Support Site
-
Developing training materials
-
Contracting with districts to manage CALPADS data through the certification process
-
Hosting livestream CSIS training and watch parties for CALPADS Statewide Leadership Training and Regional Updates
